Gary Harris seemingly will be back with the Bucks next season.

According to Keith Smith of Spotrac, the veteran guard has exercised his $3.8 million player option for 2026-27.

Harris, 31, joined Milwaukee last summer on a two-year contract and spent much of the season in a reserve role. He appeared in 48 games, averaging 2.7 points while shooting 41.2 percent from three-point range.

While his role was limited, Harris remains a respected veteran and reliable outside shooter. His expiring contract could also make him a useful trade piece as the Bucks continue evaluating ways to reshape the roster.

And there is plenty left for Milwaukee to sort through.

Several Bucks still have player option decisions looming, including Kevin Porter Jr., Gary Trent Jr., Taurean Prince and Jericho Sims. The team also holds a decision on Andre Jackson Jr.‘s club option.

Of course, the biggest question hanging over the franchise remains Giannis Antetokounmpo and the ongoing trade speculation surrounding the two-time MVP.
